Musing & Predictions: 07 & 08
In the political arena, I observed a lot of discomfort and disillusionment seeping through into the Global Environment. The wars around the world are taking a psychological toll on the human consciousness of humanity in general.
Now, on the opposite side of the political coin, I also recognize a shift or an emerging spiritual spattering of hope & encouragement as many of the wars on earth wind down, and the political arenas elect or replace the existing Moguls of War around the globe.
A spiritual awareness and a peaceful awakening has begun quietly sprouting seeds of peace, set against a seemingly dark blanket of genocide, war, and despair. I must remind you all that spirituality and goodness . . . always – always override the more apparent blanket of gloom and darkness.
I ‘do’ see a bright light emerging around the world and entering the hearts and minds of our world leaders. This bright light will come from the right mix of political figures, and they’ll work as a team to better our planet in the coming months. I know, I know, it all looks pretty grim on the news, but try and see beyond the inky darkness of the media hype, and beyond . . . into the hearts and souls of what the world’s family of humanity really does seek. (Peace and Harmony.) We truly will come to the recognition that all human beings desire to make the sacrifices to live together (in unity) on our planet. It’s going to take a majority of us to recognize that the darkness we see every day in the news is actually backed by a massive light of goodness and spiritual awakening. In the final analysis, we’re all one people in the battle for survival. As we come to the conclusion that we truly do affect the negative conditions in our world families, our communities, and around the globe, we’ll react more as a family unit, instead of separate entities. On a subatomic level of consciousness, we ‘are’ our thoughts and actions. (Together we create what we think and do.)
Everyone is seemingly curious about the rich and famous, and the awful choices some of them made in ’07. We are our choices, and so many actors have made some really bad and awkward choices this past year. Some of them are immature, and some of them have blinked out the consciousness of guilt, necessary to recognize right from wrong. What I have observed are spoiled humans, with little or no regard for anyone’s feelings except for themselves. Call it narcissistic or egotistic, or whatever, it’s just plain self-centered, unfeeling and juvenile. It is up to us, (the public) who pay for their movies and records to demand more morals and values from our superstars, and . . . if they’re still not behaving in a responsible way after removing our support, then we must end their careers. We must care to care, and at some point we must stop caring, coddling and supporting negative behaviors. It really is our public choice to care or not! We need heroes for our children, not spoiled brats!
On the home front, Danny and I continued to R.V. over the remainder of the summer and fall. For Christmas, I bought him a wireless back-up system for the R.V., eliminating the need for my flagging skills. Our ’08 camping trips should be better, as thoughtful Santa brought a lot of gifts to make camping easier (for me anyway).
My labs and scans were stable for my leukemia, so I don’t have to return to the Mayo until February ’08 for the next round of tests. (I remain positive and upbeat.) Life is . . . what it is!
Our shih tzu dogs are doing fine. Lady Bug is the sweetest little (best behaved) angel bug in the world; while Cubby Bear is the most stubborn little cuss on the planet. At a campground in Arizona this fall, Cubby walked on water . . . literally! We were down by the Colorado River, on a huge landing, when Cubby leaped into the water to chase some ducks (only he saw land). He stayed afloat for about five . . . powerful-running steps, before sinking like a rock to the bottom of the river! His collar and leash were attached (thankfully) and Danny hauled him out, surprised and indignant. He was sopping wet and in shock! You could see the emotions of perplexity and confusion play over his face, wondering why the water wasn’t solid and holding him up, (little desert dog that he is.) The event was hysterical (to us) and happened so fast; we naturally reacted to his stupidity by laughing at him. The shock on his face was soooo darned funny. He pouted for a few days, casting evil looks my way (like I did it to him) but I had many hours of good-humored giggle fits at his expense, so “I” considered it a win-win.
For the New Year of ’08, I plan to continue to follow my “To Do” list of priorities. I remain focused on a life-line/time-line potential of five years of good health remaining to me. As this year closes, I look back at the winds of time breezing past me at an accelerated pace, and I become more and more focused on my goals. Family, friends, and the completion of business ventures, (begun and not yet finished) remain at the top of my list. I rarely add to the “To Do” list, as it seems enough to accomplish for now.
Remember, anything is possible (in any circumstance) if we just focus and believe in ourselves. Have faith and remain spiritually motivated. Don’t be afraid to take risks. I have tons of faith in humanity, and so must you all. Don’t wait for your dreams to come true. Put energy and focus into them. Go out into the world and make them a reality each day. Write down your goals, be specific, and then . . . put action into them every day. Do ‘something’ every day to achieve your “To Do” list, and believe your goals are attainable and doable. Happy ’08 to you all!
