New year – 2010
Hello All,
Well, It’s 2010. A New Year and a New Time. To tell you the truth, I’m actually one of the few people who seemed to appreciate 2009. I believe that we have to go through rough patches to eliminate the errors from our pasts. It’s like a cleansing of sorts. Rough patches are absolutely necessary for us to go forward with new insights into our human natures. If we had remained on our paths of destruction and absolute greed, we would have destroyed our infrastructure. Once the soul of a Nation is destroyed, it is almost impossible to fix it again. Then, where would we have found our lives? At the mercy of another country that doesn’t have our advantages or freedom? We are so lucky to live in a country that has the faith and the freedom to say . . . “One God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all”.
We actually lucked out on 09, and our misdeeds and unhealthy lifestyle smacked us in the face before we totally sank into darkness and depression. If my words seem harsh, they are meant to be. I realize a lot of people lost jobs, and a lot of people had to cut back, lose homes, jobs, cars, savings, etc., but in the long run, we’ll all survive and find a new way, and a stronger way to go forward into a changed life. We’re resilient people here in the U.S. of A. We won’t allow ourselves to fail. We always find a way back to the top. Technology has provided us with a Global network of insights and understanding. Something the planet has never before experienced. We instantly “see” and “feel” the plight of our brothers and sisters on our flat screen TV’s and Internets. How can we ignore the fact that we all live on one planet, as one people, and what affects one, affects us all. If we can’t feel the depth of all humanity, then perhaps we are lacking something within ourselves. Jesus taught that one man alone wouldn’t change much of anything in a decisive moment of disagreement, as we tend to take sides and fail to see both sides of an issue. On the other hand, as a group, we are able to affect changes in our lives and the lives of others because we are forced to see both sides of impending issues and then decide on the best way to do something about it. With the addition of more than one voice (in agreement) we are able to take a step forward in humanity as a whole. The fact that we can sit down at a table with our brothers and sister around the world, make meaningful decisions and changes, and talk together, is a huge step in the right direction.
So, in closing, my prediction for 2010 and beyond is that we will continue to become a global economy with multiple issues of environment, governmental problems, monetary systems, etc., shared and shouldered by multiple voices of power and political parties – worldwide. We will become more and more familiar and cognizant of one another and of the family of earth relationships to one another within our various governmental – systems. Awareness is the only way to Light and Love. The only way!
Love, Jaye Bartlett
