PRESIDENT BUSH
President Bush and his circle of friends in power are at the forefront of the world news around the world, mainly because of the present administration’s policies, which have so adversely affected all aspects of world security and peace. Politically, the U.S. is about as unpopular as the Avian flu. No country wants it/us? On a personal level, President Bush is an insecure and indecisive man. Right, I said insecure and indecisive. When any head of state is insecure and feels powerless, then it stands to reason he’ll make no immediate decisions without someone else beyond himself suggesting a solution to the problems. Those world solutions have come from a self-serving, very small segment of men and women who have been placed in power around President Bush. They and only they are listened to, and their advice followed by the President of the United States. All necessary input and intelligence information is passed through these limited-few persons, with far too much to do, and little time to ponder solutions. The political buck stops a ways down from the President, just a few feet from the Oval Office. The intelligence and the world’s political input is tossed aside like a bad dream, and personal agendas and the input of a few is the wheel that is greased and turns our present administration. Anyone outside the wheel, is all but ignored, and in some cases thwarted by miscommunication and error of judgments. This information stream and the limited choice of the present policy is not only dangerous, it is an overflow of negativity, leading to regression of power, which ultimately affects the totality of the planet. We must be careful when placing the totality of any country’s power into the hands of a few humans. Looking ahead, all is not lost. The wheels of democracy of the United States will be oiled and will move smoother in the coming years ahead. Many will begin to step up and demand to be counted and listened to. Loss of power for many Americans can be directly attributed to the 9/11 attacks when people and politicians alike went through mourning and a period of shocked dismay. In retrospect (if anything is to be learned from the tragedy of 9/11) it’s not to panic and make missteps that affect the world in emergencies. Solutions to terrorist attacks must have global input and global solutions. Perhaps, we should look to Israel for insight and advice. Approach the tested, the wise, and then listen!
