Some friends I’ve met by accident
Some have been there since birth
Some were heaped upon me
Most all are from this earth
Most have a shine within their eyes
Most are as solid as tempered steel
Most have lost their ego crowns
All have been hurt and healed
All are friends I cherish and love
All are loyal and tested through time
All have been bent with humility and change
I’m proud that they’re all friends of mine
