What I Gleaned From Life in ’07
Never give up hope. Hope is the backdrop of our lives. Without it, there’s no sense in going forward.
Never forget where you came from. If we forget what got us here . . . in the now, we’re bound to fall into a trap of deception.
Nothing is impossible. The world is filled with potentials and miracles.
Friends and family are like blankets on a cold night. They warm your heart and toes.
We have more strength than we think we do. When we experience physical pain, we also find a group of willing spiritual healers to comfort us. Pain pills are also a blessing. When in doubt, take the painkillers.
Fighting for what you believe in is worth the effort, especially if you’re right. Pick your battles! Life’s too short to fight someone else’s battles (unless you’re a lawyer).
When you’re tired, take a nap or go to bed. Go without the proper rest, only if it’s an emergency. The angels talk to us in our sleep. We need the insightful communication.
Dogs are great listeners. They never judge you, and they never leave the room when you need them to be there for you.
This country is truly beautiful. Experience as much of its unique beauty as you possibly can in this short lifespan.
A death sentence from a fatal disease doesn’t mean you have to die on a rigid time-line. Pick your own time-line. Don’t listen to anyone but yourself. March and beat your own drum.
And finally, grow your soul. If you don’t care enough about life to give of yourself freely, then who will make the first move toward you? Make a kind word and an unsung deed worthwhile.
