WHERE DO IDEAS COME FROM?
A friend and I were talking about the wonders of the super-conscious mind today. Every little detail of our lives is stored in our memories, and at some point, downloaded into the real world.
I had minor surgery last week, and was on some pain pills that completely took me into a relaxed state of mind. During a three-day period, I wrote an outline for a 13-episode screenplay for television and a children’s book for ages 6-12. I have to say, the creative explosion that erupted from my relaxed state is really some of the better work I’ve turned out in a long time. I’m not advocating drugs to relax, but I am advocating relieving the mind of stress and anxiety, so we can get in touch with what’s brewing within our minds.
Where did the stuff for the ideas I came up with come from? From all the energies and interesting things happening around me, everyday, slipping . . . quietly into the super-consciousness, compiling into an active file of sorts, waiting for the chance to emerge. When I relaxed, the words poured forth like a spring of fresh water.
I believe everything people say, do, and think, and everything I’ve read, watched, and observed over a period of time, downloads into the creative part of my mind. When I least expected the creative blessing, it uploaded itself into my creative consciousness in the form of a script and a book.
Sometime, we receive a wondrous package of creative writing, and sometimes it’s those important answers to questions we have about life, spirituality, or maybe solutions to problems we’ve been pondering and wrestling with. The answers come only after we “let go”, and relax the super-conscious flow of daily kinetic energies, so the greater stuff within our minds can spring into being.
We all know prayer and meditation work, gaining us insights, health, and peace. But, somehow we get caught up in those “projects” that encompass us, and we turn off the very “thing” within our creative minds, that can help make our job of living easier.
I learned an important lesson this week. “Take time to relax the mind and smell the roses, allowing the mind to enter a phase of creative peace and one with God.” I don’t need drugs or anything else to enter this peaceful place. I just need to take the time to relax and allow my mind to release the thoughts and healing energies from within!
If you’ve been running around like a nut with your head twisting and turning every which way in response to the kinetic energy of life, please try and slow yourself down, and get in touch with who you really are within your super-consciousness. It’s worth the time and effort.
