More and more demands are in the works within the communications field. Television, internet, video and the music industry will be mandated to curb violence against children and improve the quality of their programming. The major information sources of the future will begin to police themselves in the years ahead. They’ll find the mood of the people needing an old fashioned fix of nostalgia and hope. Cable television will continue to grow at a fast clip and become even more consumer directed and internet driven. The major television networks will continue to lose viewers until they recognize that they have lost an entire generation of programming to the X/Y factor children. The networks will realize that to remain stable over a long period of time, they must return to the values and morals that the boomers grew up with. They made the mistake of thinking that the X/Y generation spent all the monies. Big boo-boo! The X/Y Generation is indeed, big-spenders of certain luxury items, but they aren’t quite there yet and won’t be for some time. The major infusion of wealth is from the up and coming cash cow boomers. The baby boomers are enormous spenders in all areas.
