PREDICTIONS ON THE POLITICAL FRONT
Lots of very yucky events occurring on the political front. The cleaning of the White House (of late) is but a small housekeeping effort to keep President Bush’s ratings from sliding even further than they are now. But his popularity will slide even further. (Ho-Hum-Sigh) So many illegal and sometimes borderline finagling, occurring behind the White House doors. Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney are the right and left arms of the President, and Mr. Bush is at a loss of how to release the jagged nerves they’re pinching. Payback has been hell for everyone! The Democrats will literally clean house in the upcoming elections for the House and Senate. It’s not necessarily that the newly elected are going to do a better job politically, it’s that the people are willing to throw in the towel and admit (at the voting booth) that the present administration had a personal agenda . . . very different than what the majority of the population expected and heard about, and they want a major shift in the political atmosphere radiating out from the Washington political hub. The United States voting majority of citizens expected the war in Iraq to produce the much heralded “Weapons of Mass Destruction”. They didn’t expect the United States to wreak mass destruction and havoc upon an inept and egotistic Iraqi leadership, and to lay such pressure and burdens upon its own noble men and women in the military. Now the people want a change. They can’t wait nearly four more years for the present administration to go bye-bye! They want the negativity of the war drum and the death march to cease . . . now!
The primary cause and effect of the present administration’s problems are really quite simple! Lies have a way of catching up with you. Eventually you forget the lies you told, so you add more lies to cover the ones you’ve already told. Then all those lies become tangled in a mass of public disillusionment, heartache, and shame. Such an easy formula would have prevented all the trauma! Just tell the truth! Didn’t your mothers teach you anything at all????
