The Ultimate Father
In this complex world, it’s very easy to lose sight of who God really is and what he actually expects from his children of time and space. If we think of God as our Father, it seems to be the easiest way to understand what he represents and what his hopes for his children truly are.
First of all, it’s not hard to perceive God as a loving Father- stern, but unconditional in his acceptance and love for all his children. It is his greatest desire to see his children seek out the highest and best potential of their environment, educational opportunities and genetics. That’s not to say that a bad or negative upbringing, a lower standard of education and genes, or an abusive standard affecting our way of living predisposes us to a life of negativity or an absence of knowing the Father.
Anyone can embrace the Father as their loving and personal presence in their lives, and choose a different path than they may be exposed to in their daily lives of abuse, absence of hope, or neglect. Since all we have to do is ask for His presence to reside as spirit within our minds and souls, it seems to me to be a win-win for us all. “Ask and Receive” is a simple little requirement that will allow any of us the connection to His energies and boundless love. The next step is faith, that it is possible to have a one-on-one connection to our Heavenly Father.
It seems to me we should all be seeking the higher and best purpose available to us in this short life span. With the simple plan of asking, receiving and believing, it doesn’t seem to me to be a difficult choice to make to ask for the Father’s presence to connect within all of us. I have a hard time relating with the pessimists who haven’t even tried this universal connection. Are they scared there really is a Universal Father who cares about us all, and who knows us all by name? I think maybe? It might be scary for those who feel they’ve gone beyond redemption, but it’s not true. None of us are beyond the Father’s redeeming forgiveness. None! I also believe that fear of changing one’s mind-set may be what’s holding some people back from making mind and life adjustments to embrace spiritual growth. Imagine if it’s really true (and I believe it is) . . . that there is a truly a Heavenly (provider) Father, and He loves us, and wants what’s best for each and every one of us. All He asks of us is that we connect to Him, and try and extend that connection and goodness toward one another in this world . . . to actually make the adjustment within our minds that there is something greater in the universe beside ourselves, and ultimately . . . have faith that He is the head of this vast universe.
He really does care about us, and what we have to offer one another as far as our potentials are concerned. He believes that we can make a difference in our own lives by connecting to Him, and then . . . make a difference in the lives of our neighbors, utilizing His spiritual guidance.
In my way of thinking, it seems to be an easy formula. Trust that God really exists, and that He’s waiting for us to choose Him in our lives. Then continue the connection via prayer and faith. It’s not all that hard to do. The connection can be accomplished in a hundred simple different ways- meditation, prayer, worship, walking, singing his praises, going to a church of your choice, etc. It’s not a radical step to take for any of us in this life. To me, it’s actually very simple. The hard part is changing the way we think about one another. If God is truly our Father, then . . . we are all His children . . . right? The Fatherhood of God, along with the Brotherhood of all mankind is the formula for living eternally.
If humanity and the awareness of God extend beyond this planet, and perhaps into other planetary spheres, then . . . it’s truly a universal law we must embrace. “Love the Father as we would love ourselves”- All of our neighbors, worldwide.
I joke sometimes that human beings on planet earth have such a hard time with the small amount of cultural differences and racial diversities we live with on this small planet, imagine the shock when we find out there’s thousands of various species within the superuniverses and we’re all brothers and sisters! Wow! I love it!
When I figured out that the earthly sphere is very small, it made my choice so much easier to accept my fellow humans on this planet as my sisters and brothers. I mean, there’s not that many of us humans on planet earth. The communication movement we’re experiencing with the Internet and other means of communicating is proof of that. The planet is indeed . . . small! We all affect one another with the choices we make.
It’s wise not to be judgmental and cynical of others, but to try and accept that individual choice is just that, individual choice. It seems to me that our ultimate purpose should be to try and understand and love our fellow man. We need to try and gather together on a spiritual level of understanding and a knowingness that the good, bad, and the ugly are all part of life on a planet that’s headed slowly toward spiritual acceptance and enlightenment. Individually, we can separate ourselves from the mainstream, hum-drum of complacency, and (with the Father’s help) become greater than we ever thought we ever could.
In the final analysis, we need to seek the higher truths for ourselves and accept that we do have an actual spiritual Father, ready, willing, and able to brighten and lighten our loads of this short life. It’s not hard or complex, and it’s truly worth exploring.
